Receiving and Managing Feedback

The core value of Feedback Falcon is enabling your users to quickly report what they see without breaking their workflow.

Feedback Widget Example

How the Widget Works

Once the <script> tag is embedded into your application, a sleek floating action button (often shaped like a Falcon) appears for your users.

When a user clicks the widget, they are presented with a lightweight form that overlays the screen:

  1. Description: A free-form text box to explain the bug, question, or feature request.
  2. Context Selection: Users can choose to simply drop a note or use their cursor to "tag" a specific DOM element on the screen.
  3. Automated Captures: Without the user doing any extra work, the Feedback Falcon script captures the current viewport as an image, and secretly grabs the most recent Javascript Error Stacktraces and Network Activity.
  4. Video Recording: For complex UX issues, users can opt into a quick 15-second browser tab recording to demonstrate the visual bug in real-time.

All of this data is bundled securely and beamed back to your associated Feedback Falcon Kanban board!

Responding to Feedback

Because you have their email address and the full context of their browser's state, your engineering team saves hours of "Could not reproduce" back-and-forth communication. When a task is dragged to the Done column, the user can optionally receive an automated email letting them know their voice was heard.
