Jira Cloud Integration

Connect your Feedback Falcon projects to Jira Cloud to ensure that user feedback flows directly into your agile planning workflows.

Supported Features

  • Jira Cloud Sync: Connect directly to your Jira Cloud workspace.
  • Automated Issue Creation: When a feedback task is triaged and approved, automatically generate a Jira Issue (e.g., set mapping for Bugs or Stories).
  • Two-Way Status Sync: Moving a ticket to "Done" in Jira will update the task to "Done" in Feedback Falcon, triggering any associated user notification emails.
  • Environment Context Forwarding: All captured console logs, network requests, and browser data are appended to the Jira ticket description or attached as a file.

Setup Instructions

  1. Navigate to your Project Settings > Integrations.
  2. Click Configure next to Jira.
  3. Provide your Atlassian site URL (e.g., yourcompany.atlassian.net) and API credentials.
  4. Authorize Feedback Falcon to access your Jira workspace.
  5. Select the destination Jira Project to enable the integration.

Advanced Mappings

Once your basic Jira setup is configured, navigate to the Advanced Mappings tab to fine-tune how data syncs between Feedback Falcon and Jira:

  • Local Statuses to Jira Transitions: Map your specific Feedback Falcon Project Boards (e.g., "Backlog", "In Progress", "Done") to their corresponding status transitions in your Jira workflow. This ensures that when a task moves across boards in Falcon, Jira updates instantly.
  • Priority and Label Sync: Map Jira priorities to your localized Feedback Falcon priorities for two-way synchronization. You can also toggle syncing Feedback Falcon Tags as Jira Labels.
  • Issue Type Mapping: Map your specific Feedback Falcon Types (using Tags) to standard Jira Issue Types (Bug, Task, Story).
  • Custom Context Mapping: Map browser telemetry data (like browser, os, url, and viewport) to specific Jira Custom Fields so your engineers have the context they need automatically sorted.
  • Assignee Mapping: Set a default Jira Assignee for incoming issues, or map them individually based on your team.
